Key Responsibilities
- Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate interventions.
- Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s) and documents care in a timely and thorough manner.
- Responds promptly to patient requests by anticipating needs and resolving them proactively.
- Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures using clear, understandable language.
- Provides guidance on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes, to prepare patients and caregivers for future self-management.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- (RN) Registered Nurse
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, or Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
