Job Description

Position Overview

The Human Resource Business Partner Director builds trusted relationships with executive leaders to understand evolving operational and business needs, partnering to create talent, culture, organizational, and leadership strategies. This role supports executive level leaders across hospitals, clinics, health plans, shared services, and more, ensuring that HR initiatives align with overall business objectives. Along with offering a chance to work in a stable, mission-based environment, you will experience the Mountain West’s diverse culture and outdoor recreational opportunities including skiing, hiking, and fishing.

Location: Platte Valley Hospital, Saint Joseph Hospital, Denver, Colorado
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Salary: $58.62 - $90.48 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic partner to executive business leaders, providing HR guidance and support aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the organization's vision and objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive business leaders to identify and address organizational development needs.
  • Drive the implementation of HR programs that enhance employee engagement and productivity.
  • Oversee the analysis and reporting of HR metrics to inform decision-making and measure the impact of HR initiatives.
  • Influence and support a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, positioning Intermountain Health as an employer of choice.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Leverage Intermountain’s Operating Model (Continuous Improvement) to develop and implement data-informed solutions that support a dynamic, growing business.

Required Qualifications:

  • Progressive professional experience in business and Human Resources leading projects and teams with demonstrated success.
  • Demonstrated experience across all areas of HR functions including employee relations, organizational development/training, benefits, compensation, legal and regulatory compliance, and diversity.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to influence and coach leaders.
  • Proven ability to manage tasks autonomously while maintaining high standards of organization and adaptability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in HR within healthcare or a highly matrixed, shared services structure.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A strong focus on understanding the needs of the organization while supporting leaders through a customer-focused, internal consultancy approach.
  • HR Certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement principles.
