Position Overview
The Cyber Sustainment Analyst with Security Clearance supports the development of cyberspace security strategies and plans for the MDA. This role enables Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) and Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) operations by developing documentation, managing administrative functions, and advocating for robust cybersecurity practices. The ideal candidate is proficient in technical writing, understands cybersecurity policies, and is prepared to maintain and enhance detailed procedures and compliance deliverables.
Compensation: $42.30 - $45.19/hr
Competitive salary commensurate with experience and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of cyberspace security strategies and plans for the MDA.
- Enable DCO/CSSP operations and personnel through effective documentation, administrative support, and advocacy.
- Assist in creating standard operating procedures and policies to support CSSP capabilities.
- Manage the indexing, cataloging, storage, and access of organizational knowledge (hard copy/digital files).
- Develop and review technical documentation, including briefings, SOPs, incident response guidelines, white papers, and technical manuals.
- Organize and retain artifacts for cybersecurity inspections and audits.
- Recommend process improvements and streamline implementation.
- Provide analytical insights and product management skills to interpret customer needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, negotiate complex issues, and draft comprehensive policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present briefings, reports, and informational analysis in support of the MDA CSSP.
- Perform records management of sustainment-related deliverables, updating documents and trackers for contractual compliance.
- Ensure adherence to Government policies, schedules, and devise solutions to program challenges.
- Support the development of cybersecurity policies and detailed procedures for advanced cybersecurity tools.
- Improve cybersecurity testing processes through critical feedback and implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and consistency of cybersecurity documentation and processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Must have, or obtain within 3 months, a current IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE).
- 3+ years of general work experience (can be reduced with advanced education) including at least 1+ year of directly related cybersecurity experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) and technical writing experience in cybersecurity documentation.
- Familiarity with Security Operations Centers (SOC), DoD, and DCO/CSSP security policies and procedures.
- Must be a US citizen with a current DoD issued Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Physical Requirements: occasional reaching with hands and arms, prolonged computer screen use (sitting or standing), adherence to safety protocols (e.g., use of PPE), and the ability to safely lift up to 20 pounds.
