Job Description

Position Overview

As a Venue IT Support Representative, you will gain real-world experience and an intimate understanding of IT service delivery concepts. You will learn valuable operational and procedural skills while developing your troubleshooting abilities in an exciting, dynamic industry. In this role, you will provide onsite IT troubleshooting assistance to venue administrative, operations, and production staff, ensuring that all IT issues are effectively reported and resolved.

Compensation: $17.60 USD - $22.00 USD Hourly (Pay is based on market location, qualifications, skills, and experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite IT troubleshooting assistance to venue administrative, operations, and production staff.
  • Identify, track, and help resolve persistent IT issues and escalate problems to remote support teams.
  • Act as an onsite liaison with remote IT support teams to troubleshoot reported issues with venue technology.
  • Serve as the onsite contact and provide guided access for visiting IT service or support providers.
  • Assist tour production with establishing artist Internet connectivity and fulfilling artist/tour IT rider requirements on the day of the show.
  • Provide proactive event support by ensuring all IT hardware/software issues are resolved prior to gate opening.
  • Assist with deployment, inventory management, and maintenance of onsite IT equipment including POS terminals.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of venue network connectivity and deployed technologies.
  • Participate in seasonal IT preparation, validation, shutdown, and winterization activities as needed.
  • Support the extension of existing IT infrastructure or implement new infrastructure for special events such as festivals or private events.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of Apple iOS, MS Windows, and network technologies.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills paired with a professional communication style.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to independently troubleshoot and reason through problems.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable and dependable team player, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing and sometimes stressful work environment.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, have access to a reliable vehicle, and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours for events and festivals.
