Software Development Engineer, Automation / AI

Position Overview

The Automation team at eero is seeking a Software Development Engineer who doesn't just use AI tools, but thinks AI-first when approaching problems. You will be at the forefront of designing and implementing next-generation automation solutions that enable rapid, reliable releases for our industry-leading home WiFi systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable automated test frameworks and tooling across multiple product lines
• Architect AI-powered solutions for intelligent test generation and predictive failure analysis
• Own and optimize AWS infrastructure supporting distributed test automation systems
• Lead front-end development for test monitoring and analytics platforms
• Drive CI/CD pipeline architecture improvements for performance and scalability
• Partner with engineering and QA organizations to define automation strategy and roadmaps
• Research and implement AI technologies to advance testing capabilities

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
• Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Knowledge of Python and/or C++ programming

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with AI/ML technologies
• Experience in investigating, designing, prototyping, and delivering new and innovative system solutions

Benefits & Perks

• Compensation: USA, CA, San Francisco - 165,200.00 - 223,600.00 USD annually, with sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
