Position Overview

C. B. Ragland Company is a privately held commercial real estate company based in Nashville, Tennessee. Over the past 25 years, we have transformed Nashville with investments in office, retail, restaurants, hospitality, industrial, and parking. This full-time, on-site role for a Facility Engineer in Nashville, TN, is critical in overseeing daily operations and maintenance of building systems. You will ensure optimal performance, compliance with safety regulations, and effective management of preferred vendors for our properties. Additionally, you will act as a first responder for facility issues, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaborating with the Director of Property Management and Lead Engineer when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and maintenance of building systems.
  • Ensure optimal system performance and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage and coordinate with preferred vendors for property maintenance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Act as the first responder for facility issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Property Management and Lead Engineer to address complex issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven skills in Facilities Engineering, Facilities Operations, and Facility Management (FM).
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to building systems.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using facility management software and tools, ensuring operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate is required.
  • Successful completion of drug screening, background, and MVR checks is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
