Data Entry Specialist
Job Description
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting the mortgage loan process — from origination through post-closing. This position offers hands-on experience in loan processing, underwriting support, and compliance review.
Key Responsibilities:
Review loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
Order and evaluate credit reports, appraisals, and supporting documents.
Verify borrower income, assets, and liabilities.
Calculate loan-to-value (LTV) and debt-to-income (DTI) ratios.
Analyze loan files to ensure compliance with underwriting and regulatory guidelines.
Support the underwriting process by assessing borrower creditworthiness.
Prepare and review closing documents in coordination with closing agents.
Ensure timely and accurate loan funding.
Monitor post-closing activities and maintain compliance documentation.
Respond to inquiries from borrowers, agents, and internal teams promptly and professionally.
Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy throughout all data entry and processing tasks.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Foundational understanding of mortgage origination or underwriting principles preferred.
Experience using mortgage loan processing software is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
