We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator / Customer Service Representative to join our growing team in Jacksonville. This hybrid role sits at the heart of our operations, acting as the primary point of contact for our clients while ensuring the seamless movement of freight across our network. You will be responsible for managing shipments from inception to delivery, providing top-tier communication to customers, and solving real-time transportation challenges.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or high-volume freight customer service preferred.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Jacksonville logistics landscape (Port of Jacksonville, local rail ramps, and major highway corridors) is a plus.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and experience with TMS platforms.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Multitasking: Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Salary and Shift
Salary: $20 - $22 per hour
Shift: First
Work Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
Education: High School
Responsibilities
- Shipment Management: Coordinate the daily movement of freight via various modes (TL, LTL, Intermodal) ensuring on-time pickup and delivery.
- Customer Excellence: Act as the dedicated point of contact for client accounts, providing proactive status updates and resolving inquiries with a professional "can-do" attitude.
- Carrier Communication: Negotiate rates and dispatch loads to carrier partners, verifying equipment availability and driver locations.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all shipping documents (BOLs, PODs, Customs paperwork) are accurate, processed timely, and filed according to industry standards.
- Problem Solving: Identify potential transit delays or service failures and implement immediate solutions to minimize impact on the customer.
- Data Entry: Maintain real-time accuracy in the Transportation Management System (TMS) regarding load status, pricing, and notes.
