WSP is currently initiating a search for an Assistant Civil Engineer for our Honolulu, HI office. Key Responsibilities
- Performs basic engineering calculations and routine engineering functions
- Assists more experienced engineers in broader engineering activities
- Prepares sketches and drawings
- Assists with quantity take-offs and cost estimating
- Assists in planning and project management activities
- Assists in field work
- Travel to outer islands may be required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and/or related field (or within 6 months of obtaining)
- 0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct; adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of employment
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and ArcGIS

Compensation
Expected Salary: $65,600 - $90,200
WSP USA is providing the compensation range in good faith based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to adjust the compensation and offer additional benefits depending on various factors. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
