Position Overview
Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Medical Receptionist to join our Radiology team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. In this role you will support both Call Center and Front Desk operations while ensuring quality service and patient confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibilities: Call Center - Primarily responsible for rapidly and accurately answering and responding to incoming telephone calls from patients and/or employer groups. Meet department-specific agent expectations by following defined guidelines and processes.
- Responsibilities: Front Desk - Provide support by greeting patients, collecting co-pays, scheduling follow-up appointments and referrals, and performing departmental clerical duties.
- Provide quality service through timely and courteous assistance, ensuring patient confidentiality and supporting both patients and employer groups.
- Deliver excellent customer service, complete assigned tasks professionally, support ongoing process improvements, and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Location: Float between St. Louis Park, Maple Grove, Burnsville, Wayzata, Minnetonka clinics and Methodist. Reliable transportation is required as last-minute schedule changes may occur.
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts. Base shift is 11:30am-8:00pm, with start times varying between 10:00am and 2:00pm based on business needs; occasional weekends (every 1-2 months) may be required.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months related experience.
- Accurate computer and keyboarding skills required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure patient safety.
- Proficiency in operating equipment such as telephones, headsets, PCs, printers, photocopiers, and fax machines.

- Medical background.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Human relations sensitivity and exceptional customer service skills.
- Effective listening and telephone etiquette skills.
- Desirable knowledge of medical terminology.
- Comfort in asking patients for co-pays and race collection.
- Ability to promote and maintain strong patient relations and confidentiality.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced, structured environment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
