Position Overview

Stateside Brands, a rapidly growing spirits company dedicated to crafting premium-quality beverages – Surfside Iced Teas and Lemonades, Stateside Vodka, and Stateside Vodka Sodas – prides itself on innovation and excellence. We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Trade Marketing Associate to drive the development, planning, and execution of localized market sales and marketing plans for Northern California. This role is central to our mission of elevating consumer experiences and deepening brand engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute a formal planning calendar for each brand, ensuring the team meets required timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Trade Marketing Director, Marketing, and Sales teams to craft and deploy brand and channel strategies across both on-premise and off-premise channels, including promotional activities, product listings, and event participation to enhance brand visibility and drive sales within your key DMA.
  • Work closely with the local sales team to execute national programming at the market level and make regional adjustments as needed.
  • Partner with the regional sales team to identify and evaluate promotional opportunities aligned with brand and sales objectives.
  • Develop in-store consumer promotions that boost product engagement and sales.
  • Collaborate with event activation specialists to create impactful brand engagement opportunities.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics to identify trends and growth opportunities.
  • Track local budgets and coordinate with the finance team to maintain invoicing, billbacks, coops, and budgets diligently.
  • Actively assist in identifying new business opportunities and enhancing sales pitches, including product pricing and portfolio management.
  • Attend GSM meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a trade marketing role within the alcoholic beverage industry.
  • General understanding of the alcoholic beverage industry, including regulatory environments and marketing compliance.
  • Experience in both off-premise and on-premise channels with a clear grasp of their differences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders including distributors, customers, and brand partners.
  • Exceptional ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as required (estimated 25%).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in the spirits or beverage industry.
  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Military experience is a plus.

Compensation

  • Estimated Base Salary Range: $80,000-$100,000 USD
  • Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and qualifications.
  • The salary range refers to base salary only and is not inclusive of the total compensation package.
