Key Responsibilities
- Drive New Business: Proactively target and convert new sales opportunities, build a strong pipeline, and create lasting partnerships by understanding each customer’s unique shipping needs.
- Own the Carrier Network: Source, negotiate, and secure top-performing carriers. Manage the shipment process from beginning to end, delivering results on-time and keeping customers informed every step of the way.
- Stay Compliant & Accurate: Maintain accurate records and ensure every shipment meets company standards and industry regulations.
- Lead with Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of trends, competitor moves, and market shifts to seize opportunities and outperform the competition.
- Manage & Develop a Team: Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve sales and operational goals while fostering a collaborative, performance-driven culture.
Required Qualifications
- Proven Sales Success: 3+ years in freight brokerage sales with demonstrated success leading a sales team to meet and exceed revenue goals.
- Team Builder and Mentor: Skilled at training, mentoring, and motivating sales professionals to consistently achieve high performance.
- Negotiation Powerhouse: Expert at securing the best rates for customers, carriers, and Corporate Traffic.
- Strategic Communicator: Confident and persuasive in guiding both customers and team members, with strong presentation and leadership skills.
- Quick Problem Solver: Ability to think quickly and resolve challenges before they impact results.
- Highly Organized Leader: Adept at setting goals, managing team performance, and balancing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
