Job Description
Position Overview
The Shipping & Receiving Manager is responsible for supervising staff and activities in the shipping and receiving areas to ensure all processes meet internal and external requirements. This role is part of the Production/Warehouse department located in Fort Worth 2101 and reports to Greg Lunceford. Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000 / year.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Functions:- Managing departmental operations in shipping and receiving
- Supervising employees
- Providing training to employees on work instructions, equipment operation, and safety
- Overseeing data collection for performance measurement
- Reviewing performance and taking appropriate action
- Monitoring compliance with internal and external requirements
- Reviewing and updating processes and work instructions
- Coordinating inbound shipment tasks including unloading carriers, inspecting materials, reporting discrepancies, recording inventory, updating the warehouse management system, and completing documentation
- Coordinating outbound shipment tasks including scheduling shipment activity, packaging and labeling materials, inspecting shipments, reporting discrepancies, loading shipments onto carriers, updating systems, and completing documentation
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area
- Identifying and supporting opportunities for improved performance, cost-savings, and efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, flexibility in daily hours, and ability to operate a forklift
- Capability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

- Ability to learn and work with Warehouse Management System software
- Aptitude for using scales, forklifts, and other production equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and meet deadlines
