Our client, a renowned leader in renewable energy solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Systems to join their innovative engineering team. This role is crucial for the design, development, and implementation of robust electrical systems for our cutting-edge projects. You will be responsible for everything from conceptual design and detailed engineering to system integration and testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in power system analysis, distribution, protection, and a strong understanding of renewable energy technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical power systems for renewable energy projects (e.g., solar farms, energy storage systems).
• Perform detailed power system analysis, including load flow, short circuit, stability, and protection coordination studies using industry-standard software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD).
• Develop single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Select appropriate electrical equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and generators.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, NESC), and client requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including civil engineers, project managers, and procurement specialists.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior electrical engineers.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and safety.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues that arise during project execution.
• Stay current with advancements in power system technologies, grid modernization, and renewable energy integration.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree: in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license: is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on power systems design and analysis.
• Proficiency: in power system simulation software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E).
• In-depth knowledge: of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Experience: with renewable energy integration, grid interconnection, and energy storage systems is a significant advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively on-site and collaborate with a diverse engineering team.
