Position Overview

Our client, Cloud Space LLC, is seeking a motivated and technically skilled JR. Network Engineer to join their IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for a network professional looking to grow their career in a dynamic, hands-on environment. The successful candidate will support and maintain the organization's network infrastructure while collaborating with experienced engineers on new implementations and projects. Location: Richmond, CA (Onsite)Salary: $28.00/hr - $35.00/hrSchedule: Long Term Contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the configuration, deployment, and installation of network equipment and software.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Implement and maintain network security protocols to ensure data safety and integrity.
  • Collaborate with senior network engineers on the design and rollout of network solutions.
  • Provide tier-1 and tier-2 technical support to internal users regarding network-related concerns.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in network engineering.
  • Strong understanding of LAN technologies, Cisco route/switch platforms (design and configuration), routing protocols (OSPF), TCP/IP (Layers 2, 3, and 4), Windows and Mac OS networking, Active Directory, IT security principles, fiber optic cabling, and excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Requirements: Must possess a valid driver's license, be fluent in English, and be able to commute to the worksite daily.
  • Qualifications: Active CCNA or CCNP certification (required and must be provided).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with BGP routing protocols.
  • Familiarity with Linux networking.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
  • Experience configuring and managing firewalls.
