Job Description
Position Overview
Based on our company growth and recent acquisitions, we are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for financial accounting and analysis for multiple high-growth business units. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with daily exposure to our executive leadership team. Work is performed in-office at our South Charlotte location (1101 Red Ventures Dr, Fort Mill, SC) Tuesday through Thursday (9–5pm) with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Support month-end close processes by collaborating with business leaders and preparing monthly journal entries.
- Collaborate with FP&A counterparts to assist with monthly financial analyses and reviews of results.
- Partner with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and Procurement teams to ensure accurate subledger to general ledger reporting.
- Identify and support process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounting team.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the annual financial statement audit as required.
- Support strategic business initiatives by providing financial expertise and guidance.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant experience with progressively responsible roles.
- Experience in industry financial accounting, corporate accounting, or public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, including standards such as ASC 606, ASC 805, and ASC 350.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
