Job Description
Position Overview
The Patient Care Technician provides a variety of indirect and direct care, including provision for patient's dependency needs such as nutrition, hygiene, safety and physical and psychological comfort measures, to patients and significant others, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide indirect and direct patient care including nutrition, hygiene, safety, and comfort measures.
- Work under the supervision of licensed nursing staff while adhering to the organization's mission, vision, and values.
- Perform tasks in patient settings, interacting extensively with patients, staff, physicians, family members, and visitors.
- Comply with OSHA standards related to exposure to blood borne pathogens, including tasks involving exposure to blood and potentially infectious body fluids.
- Engage in physical activities such as lifting, bending, and stooping as required by the role.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D and Florida CNA certification
