Medical Review Auditor Analyst Remote - Charlotte Area

Position Overview

Conduent, a trusted partner for Fortune 100 companies and over 500 governments, is seeking a Medical Review Auditor Analyst (Remote – Charlotte Area). In this role, you will work closely with hospital-clients and internal stakeholders, auditing medical bills and ensuring accuracy using industry tools. You’ll report directly to the Sr. Operations Manager and enjoy benefits from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit medical bills for unrelated charges, overpayments/reimbursements, and overall billing accuracy.
• Assess payments against regulatory or administrative charges, coding, and billing errors to identify inaccuracies.
• Conduct medical audits to pinpoint healthcare overpayments and underpayments to providers.
• Apply knowledge of provider billing and patient accounting systems for accurate research.
• Develop, maintain, and ensure adherence to client policies, regulations, and guidelines.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or related field is highly desired, or ten (10) years of hospital billing experience may substitute.
• Must have hospital business office experience.
• Strong mathematical skills and excellent customer service abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work independently, and communicate effectively.
• Must be dependable, willing to travel as required, and possess a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an auditing role within the healthcare industry or insurance is a plus.
• Background in Accounting, Finance, or Healthcare Administration is desirable.
