Position Overview
Conduent, a trusted partner for Fortune 100 companies and over 500 governments, is seeking a Medical Review Auditor Analyst (Remote – Charlotte Area). In this role, you will work closely with hospital-clients and internal stakeholders, auditing medical bills and ensuring accuracy using industry tools. You’ll report directly to the Sr. Operations Manager and enjoy benefits from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit medical bills for unrelated charges, overpayments/reimbursements, and overall billing accuracy.
- Assess payments against regulatory or administrative charges, coding, and billing errors to identify inaccuracies.
- Conduct medical audits to pinpoint healthcare overpayments and underpayments to providers.
- Apply knowledge of provider billing and patient accounting systems for accurate research.
- Develop, maintain, and ensure adherence to client policies, regulations, and guidelines.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or related field is highly desired, or ten (10) years of hospital billing experience may substitute.
- Must have hospital business office experience.
- Strong mathematical skills and excellent customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work independently, and communicate effectively.
- Must be dependable, willing to travel as required, and possess a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an auditing role within the healthcare industry or insurance is a plus.
- Background in Accounting, Finance, or Healthcare Administration is desirable.
