Job Description

Position Overview

Central Research, Inc. (CRI) is hiring Customer Service Representatives to provide contact center support for servicing federal student loans. In this professional, structured, and fast-paced environment, you will handle accurate student loan inquiries, process account updates, and help counsel customers to establish personalized repayment plans that comply with Federal and State regulations and company policies. Exceptional customer service and strict data privacy/security are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform efficient and accurate handling of student loan inquiries, account updates, and repayment options in line with Federal and State guidelines.
  • Handle inbound and outbound customer calls in a highly productive call center environment while meeting quality assurance and performance indicators.
  • Assist customers in completing applications and provide guidance based on department procedures.
  • Ensure the highest levels of privacy and security to protect customer data and business interests.
  • Participate in comprehensive training to master federal regulations, company policies, and customer relationship tools.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least 6 months of experience in a contact center or customer service role
  • Minimum of 6 months of computer experience in a business environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance (requirements include US citizenship, no default on Federal Student Loans, and meeting other federal criteria)
  • Must live within a 75-mile radius of Lowell, AR

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior call center experience
  • At least 6 months of experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and OneNote)

  • Compensation:Earn $17.75 per hour plus an additional $4.57 per hour inHealth and Welfare(capped at 40 hours per week), which covers the full cost of employee-only medical, dental, and vision premiums.
  • Remote work opportunity with required occasional visits to a CRI facility for equipment maintenance or replacement.
  • Paid training program lasting up to 5-6 weeks (training hours from 8am to 5pm Central Time, Monday through Friday).
