Job Description

Position Overview

The Lead Digital Marketing Strategist will be responsible for shaping and executing brand identity, messaging strategy, and 360-degree brand-level strategies while incorporating elements of email, CRM, and lifecycle marketing. This role requires strong expertise in developing integrated digital strategies that align with client objectives, elevate brand presence, and optimize the customer journey across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand business objectives, target audiences, and KPIs, ensuring brand and digital strategies align with goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform brand and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and implement brand strategies that integrate digital marketing and lifecycle marketing programs across email, website, content, social, and martech platforms.
  • Establish and apply email marketing best practices, including segmentation, personalization, and testing strategies, to enhance engagement across the customer lifecycle.
  • Create and execute rigorous testing and optimization plans, including A/B testing, to drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze campaign and program performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve outcomes.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed reports, POVs, briefs, and presentations to clients and internal teams, showcasing performance, opportunities, and strategic direction.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for growth and cross-collaboration.
  • Serve as a thought leader in digital brand strategy, advocating for innovative approaches that elevate client brands and customer experiences.

Required Qualifications

  • MUST have experience coming from a smaller to mid-sized agency.
  • MUST have strategy deck examples that are clean and exciting.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on digital strategy development and campaign management.
  • Proven expertise in brand strategy, including brand identity, messaging, and end-to-end brand experience.
  • Hands-on experience with email, CRM, and lifecycle marketing strategies, as well as integrated digital media (e.g., websites, content, social, and martech solutions).
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels: SEO, SEM, email marketing, content marketing, websites, and social media.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and marketing automation/analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Marketo).
  • Demonstrated success in delivering digital campaigns that achieve or exceed client goals.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with ability to create clear, compelling presentations in PowerPoint and Google Slides.
  • Proactive, motivated, and collaborative, with the ability to work independently or within cross-functional teams.
