Applied Data Scientist (AEC/Infrastructure)

Position Overview

Parametrix is a 100% employee-owned consulting firm dedicated to delivering resilient infrastructure, livable communities, and sustainable solutions. In the role of Applied Data Scientist (AEC/Infrastructure), you will build and lead our Data & Analytics team by applying advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning to address AEC and infrastructure challenges. You will work closely with engineers, planners, project managers, and clients to design tailored, data‐driven solutions and modernize internal processes. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work remotely or from any Parametrix office. Compensation: Base salary for this position is in the range of $130,000-$155,000+, with performance‐based bonuses and annual reviews.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, transform, and securely store data from diverse sources including databases, APIs, files, and surveys.
• Apply advanced machine learning techniques and artificial intelligence to explore, analyze, and derive insights from data.
• Design and maintain visually appealing and intuitive dashboards, reports, and presentations to effectively communicate key data findings.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand data needs and deliver tailored data-driven solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance data capabilities and ensure data quality.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of demonstrable experience in data science or analytics, with applied AEC or infrastructure industry experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, ETL, and other data processing tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts; AEC industry experience is a plus.
