Job Description

Position Overview

Reporting to the CenterWell Chief Financial Officer, this role provides executive leadership to Humana in the Home Solutions business of its CenterWell subsidiary. Humana, a $100 billion (Fortune 50) leader in integrated healthcare, is seeking an accomplished executive for the role of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. CenterWell creates experiences that put patients at the center while offering stability, industry-leading benefits, and opportunities for career growth. The Home Solutions business—comprised of CenterWell Home Health and OneHome—employs approximately 14,000 teammates across more than 350 locations nationwide and focuses on delivering personalized home care and integrated post-acute services. The CFO will drive financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning, leveraging data to identify trends and position the business for profitable growth. Schedule: 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate strategic decision-making by establishing key relationships with operational executives and analyzing financial data and key performance indicators.
  • Lead Home Health financial reporting by forecasting, compiling, and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports; develop operational and capital budgets along with long-term financial plans.
  • Harness data to track performance against approved budgets, generate KPI and balanced scorecard reports, and drive cost-saving and value-added initiatives.
  • Design and implement modern finance practices by enabling technology solutions across reporting, projections, accounting, and tax functions.
  • Lead financial integration and strategic discussions with enterprise and external parties, including payer partners, to optimize relationships and investment trade-offs.
  • Oversee revenue cycle management by monitoring bad debt ratios and implementing process improvements in billing and collections.
  • Review accounting outputs and maintain robust internal controls and asset safeguards.
  • Provide executive leadership through team recruitment, coaching, and performance management.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, strategy, M&A, consulting, and/or accounting roles within the healthcare industry.
  • Best-in-class financial accounting and data analysis skills with a proven track record of streamlining operations and leading organizational change.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders in large, matrixed organizations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with executive presence.
  • Education: BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA and relevant healthcare experience are highly desirable.
