Position Overview
Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an IT Support Specialist for an innovative and growing organization that supplies commercial equipment and services. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity and an onsite role. Location: Vancouver, WA. The IT Support Specialist provides hands-on technical support to employees by resolving hardware, software, connectivity, and cloud-based service issues. This role blends end-user support with opportunities to contribute to technology projects and process improvements in a collaborative, people-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Set up, configure, and maintain end-user devices and standard software
- Support Microsoft 365 and other cloud-based productivity and collaboration tools
- Assist with user account creation, access changes, and password resets following established processes
- Respond to, document, and track support requests and resolutions
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and cloud-service issues for onsite and remote users
- Contribute to documentation, knowledge bases, and continuous improvement efforts
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting end users in a professional technology environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Comfort performing basic hardware tasks such as device setup, disassembly, and cabling
- Clear, friendly, and professional communication skills
- Ability to follow procedures while exercising good judgment
- Curiosity, adaptability, and interest in emerging technologies (including AI)
- Experience gained through work, certifications, coursework, or self-directed learning is welcomed
