This senior role, based in St. Louis, Missouri, US, will spearhead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge electrical systems for complex industrial and commercial applications. The Principal Electrical Engineer will provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and drive innovation in areas such as power distribution, control systems, and renewable energy integration. A deep understanding of electrical theory, circuit design, power electronics, and simulation tools is paramount. You will be responsible for creating detailed schematics, specifications, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Your Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include conducting thorough design reviews, performing load calculations, and analyzing system performance to optimize efficiency and reliability. The Principal Electrical Engineer will also play a critical role in project management, overseeing design phases, coordinating with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, etc.), and managing vendor relationships. Experience with power systems modeling software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E) and CAD tools is highly desirable. You will be expected to stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, contributing to the company's technological roadmap and intellectual property development. Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with power systems design, analysis, and simulation software.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Proven track record of leading complex engineering projects and mentoring teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation abilities.
  • Experience in renewable energy integration or smart grid technologies is a significant advantage.
