Marketing & Fan Engagement Graduate Assistant

Position Overview

Join Wichita State Athletics marketing and promotions team at the Wichita State Intercollegiate Athletic Association on the WSU Main Campus in Wichita, KS. This part‐time role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‐on experience while advancing your professional development in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will help manage day-to-day operations for the implementation of athletic marketing and communications programs—including overseeing the fan experience on game day. As a Graduate Staff Assistant (GSA), you will support university services by applying your education and abilities in non-teaching or non-research activities.

Compensation: Pay Range $10-15 per hour. Work Schedule: Flexible, with required attendance at contests/competitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations for athletic marketing programs.
• Serves as the primary sport contact for selected sports in the marketing office.
• Develops and implements individual sport marketing plans.
• Assists with overall strategy and game day presentation.
• Helps with game day sponsor fulfillment and promotion.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to handle prolonged standing, sitting, walking, and stair climbing.
• Must be admitted to a degree program in either full or conditional standing for assistantship eligibility.
