Jr. Loan Officer

Position Overview

This position is located in The Villages, FL. Our lending team is experiencing tremendous growth, and we are looking for a results-oriented junior loan officer who can generate new business and referrals and assist our senior loan officers in creating and closing loan packages. Lending or mortgage industry experience is not required, but is a tremendous asset. Compensation: $75,000 plus

Key Responsibilities

• Discuss options with senior mortgage loan officer/MLO to recommend the best home loan products based on the applicant’s financial status.
• Create personal relationships with loan applicants, providing additional information and answering questions about home mortgage products.
• Assemble financial information to assist with loan applications, prepare loan files, and assess applicants’ financial situations and eligibility.
• Liaise between realtors, senior MLO/mortgage loan originator, underwriter, mortgage lenders or bankers, and loan processors to ensure successful loan transactions.
• Generate new business opportunities, secure referrals, monitor the sales pipeline, and meet sales expectations.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree is desired.
• Excellent sales, relationship, communications, and MS Office skills are vital.
• Previous experience in financial services, real estate, lending institutions, credit unions, or related fields is valuable, but not required.
• Willingness to complete a training program to obtain NMLS/MLO/state license.
• Understanding of loan program guidelines and various types of loans (such as FHA, commercial loans, VA, etc.) is helpful, but not required.
