Eligibility Representative - Accredo - Remote

Position Overview

The Eligibility Representative position is a Band 1 Professional Career Track Role at Accredo. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines helping specialty pharmacy patients coordinate their medication needs and pharmacy insurance coverage for complex medical conditions such as HIV, rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer. You’ll communicate directly with patients, healthcare providers, and doctor's offices, ensuring that each inquiry is handled with care, detail, and empathy.

Key Responsibilities

• Help patients get the medication and services they need by using your training, problem-solving skills, and team support to answer patient and provider calls effectively. You’ll coordinate and ensure that services are covered under insurance, discussing details such as deductibles, co-payments, and authorizations.
• Interact directly with healthcare providers by researching benefits coverage issues with pharmacists and doctors’ offices, and providing guidance to patients about their medication coverage.
• Juggle multiple tasks without sacrificing attention to detail – handling multiple requests and accurately documenting conversations in the system.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required
• Customer service experience
• General PC knowledge including experience with Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Healthcare experience with knowledge of medical insurance and terminology
