Key Responsibilities
- Offer a clear view of Charlotte operations performance in the US to key stakeholders by providing analysis and insight around variances (actuals vs. budget by cost drivers such as activity, mix, productivity, and costs).
- Deliver a wide range of business insight to support data-driven decision-making and strategic decisions on current business and new projects.
- Challenge performance and provide recommendations for cost-saving strategies to meet targets and improve performance.
- Support the development of the annual operating plan and financial forecasts.
- Perform month-end closing journal entries for expenses.
- Report on finished goods produced and associated activities.
- Develop product standard costs in the JDE ERP system.
- Generate monthly KPIs, expense, and inventory reports.
- Partner with operations to ensure accurate labor routers in JDE.
- Complete both standard and ad hoc financial reporting, including variance analyses and explanations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative-related field.
- 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience, or a strong internship background for fresh graduates.
- Solid understanding of cost accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Aptitude to succeed in a high-paced and results-oriented environment.
- Intermediate MS Excel skills (including tables, pivot tables, and lookups).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in finance or accounting within a manufacturing setting.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (dynamic arrays, PowerQuery, VBA) are a plus.
- Familiarity with JDE, HFM, and Power BI.
- A curious mindset that consistently asks “why” and seeks to improve processes.
