Position Overview

Gilbane, a Top-10 ENR Contractor and family-owned firm with 45 offices, is seeking a Sr. Scheduler - Data Center to serve as a Business Unit resource. In this role you will utilize advanced scheduling techniques to support complex projects including schools, labs, hospitals, corporate offices, and sports arenas. Key Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight relative to all aspects of planning & scheduling within assigned projects.
  • Performs as the scheduling expert for the Business Unit (BU) on advanced and complicated tasks.
  • Demonstrates advanced expertise in scheduling tools and techniques and stays updated on industry standards.
  • Makes recommendations to divisional management regarding adoption of the latest scheduling practices.
  • Performs schedule & cost loading for CPM schedules.
  • Conducts schedule analysis, evaluating variances and trends across multiple schedules.
  • Handles delay claims, develops delay analysis narratives, and coordinates with the Legal Department.
  • Participates in formal proposals and interviews for prospective projects.
  • Ensures proper schedule techniques and update procedures are followed on all assigned projects.
  • Coaches and mentors less experienced team members.
  • Trains others in risk identification and mitigation.
  • Conducts and reviews monthly project audits and recommends risk mitigation plans.
  • Reports concerns and updates to Business Unit management regarding project controls.
  • Monitors overall performance indicators and balances workload with recoveries.
  • Trains Project Managers and Superintendents on scheduling software.
  • Participates in scheduling peer groups, meetings, or subcommittees.
  • Utilizes industry standard software to support the scheduling process.
  • Supports a positive and inclusive work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 8-17 years of related experience.
  • Hyperscale data center experience is required.
  • Professional Certification in AACEi, PMI, AGC, CMAA, or similar (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • In-depth knowledge of construction means, methods, sequences, crew sizes, productivity rates, manpower analysis, cash flow, and CPM scheduling.
  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
