Position Overview

Compensation: $18/hr, Location: Kyle/Buda Area, Shift: Day Shift, Days: No Weekends.

As a Hospital Services Technician, you will travel between customer healthcare facilities to proactively monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for various Stericycle programs including Sharps Management, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. Key Responsibilities

• Travel between customer healthcare facilities to monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for various Stericycle programs, including Sharps Management, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management.
• Interact professionally with onsite customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded.
• Maintain a rigid collection and service schedule.
• Communicate duty status on a defined schedule.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Engage in extensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushing; must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and push/pull carts weighing as much as 500 pounds.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years' work experience or High School diploma (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated strong communication skills with tact in providing superior customer service.
• May require mandatory immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between facilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with computer/handheld software applications including spreadsheets and programs for tracking daily KPIs.

Schedule

• Shift Times: 5:00 am to 1:00 pm – 8 hr shift with 30 min lunch
• Monday: Dell Center Medical Center (Austin)
• Tuesday: Ascension Seton Hays (Kyle, TX)
• Wednesday: Dell Center Medical Center (Austin)
• Thursday: Dell Center Medical Center (Austin), Ascension Seton Hays (Kyle, TX) & Baylor, Scott & White (Austin)
• Friday: Ascension Seton Hays (Kyle, TX) & Baylor, Scott & White (Austin)
• Note: Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
