Lead the future of connected entertainment as Walmart’s Director, Software Engineering for SmartCast TV and Sound Bar Technology. Key Responsibilities
- Drive execution and delivery of platform features across the full software lifecycle.
- Lead, coach, and mentor engineering teams through product discovery and delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative TV and soundbar experiences.
- Make critical technical and business decisions to ensure project success.
- Champion technical excellence, team empowerment, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience (minimum requirements: a bachelor’s degree or 8 years’ experience in software engineering along with 3 years of supervisory experience).
- 15+ years experience in embedded software architecture, design, and development; 8+ years leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Deep expertise in C/C++, Linux/Android/QNX, and modern development tools.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality products at scale and managing cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with SoC vendors, ODMs, and managing external vendors and app partners.
- Exceptional multi-tasking skills with the ability to drive parallel projects under tight deadlines.
- Executive-level communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, manage large teams, and adapt to changes quickly.
- A creative problem-solver who digs into root causes analytically.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related area with 4 years' additional experience in software engineering.
- Demonstrated background in creating inclusive digital experiences, with knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies.
- Commitment to accessibility best practices and an inclusive culture, aligning with Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines.

- Competitive Pay: Annual salary range is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00 with additional annual or quarterly performance bonuses and Stock awards for certain positions.
