Job Description
Position Overview
The Cenergistic Energy Specialist serves as the “face” of Cenergistic’s energy conservation program and is responsible for developing and driving the organization’s energy conservation strategy. The role involves identifying energy savings opportunities, analyzing utility bill data with state-of-the-art technology, and collaborating across departments to implement energy-saving measures. The selected candidate will sign a confidentiality agreement and commit to a detailed implementation plan. Cenergistic is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Compensation: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify energy consumption patterns, analyze data, and make recommendations to Client leadership on energy conservation measures.
- Utilize the latest technology for tracking energy consumption, utility usage, and EMS (Energy Management Systems) data.
- Perform on-site audits and manage all utility consumption data ensuring accurate savings measurements.
- Meet monthly with the Client’s Program Liaison to report on the status of the energy program.
- Coordinate with internal and external Public Relations groups to promote the success of the energy management program.
- Report quarterly to the Board or Governing body regarding progress and success.
- Cultivate and maintain open communications with Client leadership, facilities, maintenance, and custodial staff.
- Report any safety hazards to the Program Liaison and coordinate with the maintenance director regarding repairs to EMS.
- Communicate promptly with Client staff to address any comfort issues and complete performance reports as compared to the implementation plan.
- Represent Cenergistic in the highest professional manner to the Organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with 2-3 years’ work experience, or a high school diploma/high school equivalency with six (6) years’ work experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Above average written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in policy implementation and promote stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in delivering presentations to both small and large groups.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High proficiency with technology and computer applications including Microsoft Office (especially Excel), smartphone applications, and handheld tablets.
- Willingness to commit to irregular hours (including nights, weekends, early mornings, holidays, and summer shifts).
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive to client locations.
