Key Responsibilities
- Reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Accounting & Taxation.
- Serves as the Relationship Manager to the firm's corporate and individual clients.
- Prepares tax returns for individuals and various corporations (S-Corps, Partnerships, C-Corps, and Not-for-Profits), ensuring accuracy and recommending both short- and long-term tax savings strategies.
- Prepares financial reports and provides bookkeeping services as required for tax preparation and payroll accuracy.
- Corresponds with Federal and State taxing authorities as needed.
- Leads special projects contributing to the overall growth of the organization.
- Collaborates closely with our wealth management financial advisors.
- Opportunity for sponsorship to take financial securities tests to become a financial advisor, potentially increasing overall compensation 2-4X over time.
Required Qualifications
- Willing to work in the Fort Myers, FL (33907) or Minneapolis, MN office during tax season and for most client appointments; flexible hours with occasional remote work after April 30th.
- Highly motivated with a desire and aptitude for advancement within the organization.
- College or Advanced Degree, preferably in Accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent, or on track to achieve within the first year.
- At least two years of experience in accounting and taxation.
- Strong ability to provide tax planning advice and build trusted relationships with small businesses and individual clients.
- Proficient in preparing tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts, and estates.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
- Professional demeanor with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Intuit QuickBooks Desktop and Online versions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Adobe, and other business-related software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Intuit ProSeries and ProConnect is preferred but not required.
- FINRA Series SEI, 63, and 65 licenses are a plus.
- Professional designation, such as the Certified Financial Planner, is highly preferable.

- Compensation: Salary is negotiable based on experience with bonus potential tied to the overall profitability of the organization and personal performance. Pay range: 55,000 - 85,000 USD per year (applicable for both Fort Myers, FL and Minneapolis, MN).
