GDS Architecture, Interiors & Branding is seeking a thoughtful, detail-driven, Interior Design Consultant to join our team on a contract basis. We are looking for an experienced individual with a strong foundation in commercial, architectural design to contribute immediately to our dynamic range of projects. This is a remote, independent contractor (1099) position, emphasizing the specialized nature of the work and the independent capacity of the consultant.
We require a candidate whose background is rooted in interior design and architecture to ensure a depth of understanding regarding building systems and commercial project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute interior design projects from concept through construction documentation, with a strong focus on commercial spaces and high-end residential projects.
- Develop detailed architectural documents, plans, elevations, and specifications using Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and software like Revit.
- Collaborate with the architectural team to ensure interior design plans are fully integrated with the overall building design.
- Manage material and finish selections, furniture specifications, and vendor coordination, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Contribute to project design development and detailing, ensuring all elements meet GDS's high standards for quality and innovation.
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves):

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Experience: Prior experience in commercial architecture or high-end residential architecture is a must.
- Proven background: in interior architecture or straight architecture is required to qualify for this role.
- Proficiency: in Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
- Demonstrated ability: to work autonomously and manage project deliverables effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong portfolio: showcasing experience in complex, detail-driven commercial and architectural interior projects.
