Data Scientist, 3+ Years of Experience

Position Overview

The Data Science & Insights team transforms massive data sets into actionable insights, enabling informed business and product decisions while ensuring unbiased, clear communication of what the data shows. We are seeking a Data Scientist to join the team and help drive innovation, optimize products, and support decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and statistical modeling to deliver impactful, objective, and actionable insights that enable informed business and product decisions.
• Drive informed and timely decision-making that optimizes the way our products are created, executed, and adopted.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, product marketers, and designers to integrate analytical solutions across teams.

Required Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, data science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience using SQL or similar big data querying languages.
• 3+ years of experience with programming languages such as Python or R.
• 3+ years of experience with applied statistical techniques, including inferential methods, causal methods, A/B testing, or statistical modeling.
• Advanced degree in applied mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, or a related field.
• Experience in a product-focused role at a social media, online advertising, digital media and/or mobile technology company.
• Experience using machine learning and statistical analysis to build data-driven product solutions or perform methodological research.

Compensation Details:

• Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): $157,000 - $235,000 annually.
• Zone B: $149,000 - $223,000 annually.
• Zone C: $133,000 - $200,000 annually.
