Technical Operations Engineer

We are seeking a Technical Operations Engineer who thrives at the intersection of hardware, software, and real-world deployments. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure new products and solutions are developed, deployed, and supported with operational excellence. As a key extension of our team, you will work directly with partners to ensure successful implementations in the field. Success in this role depends on rapid issue resolution, strong technical judgment, and the ability to distill client feedback into meaningful guidance for distributed engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues and areas of concern.
  • Facilitate the resolution of triaging client issues effectively and serving as a liaison between BrightAI and customers; ensuring sustained operational success.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and the internal team, collaborating to ensure the smooth deployment of new solutions during on-site engagements with our partners.
  • Proactively identify and alleviate potential issues, contributing to the prevention of future pitfalls through the implementation of well-documented processes.
  • Apply logical and systematic thinking to efficiently solve problems, maintaining a strategic mindset in addressing challenges.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make clear decisions confidently, particularly when dealing with system breakdowns, ensuring swift resolution.

Skills and Expertise

  • 3+ years of proven results solving hands-on technical problems in the IoT and embedded technology space.
  • Hands-on experience operating small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS).
  • Solved complex incidents adeptly with minimal direction; demonstrated ability to excel both independently and as collaborative team member.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills across diverse audiences, including various groups and organization levels.
  • Applied logical thinking with problem-solving, utilizing a systematic process of elimination and effectively multitasking.
  • Successfully completed tasks autonomously, ensuring timely while meeting specified requirements.

Bonus

  • Familiarity with Linux and Ubuntu.
  • Understanding of the OSI Networking Model.
  • Involvement in startup initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with wiring and electrical diagrams.
