Position Overview
MODE Global is the 5th largest truckload broker and largest non-asset intermodal provider in North America. We are seeking a highly motivated Account Executive to join our Commercial Sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for prospecting, acquiring, and nurturing new client relationships within the logistics and transportation sector. You will work closely with prospects to understand their unique shipping needs, propose tailored solutions, and close deals that contribute to the growth and success of MODE Global through an end-to-end supply chain solution. The ideal candidate will have proven B2B sales success, strong business analysis and negotiation skills, and deep expertise in logistics and transportation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and generate leads through cold calling, networking, and inbound inquiries, building a robust pipeline in the logistics and transportation space.
- Analyze customer shipping and logistics needs, presenting MODE Global's tailored transportation solutions to optimize supply chains and deliver strategic ROI.
- Conduct sales presentations and demos to effectively communicate our value proposition and bespoke solutions to potential clients.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from initial outreach to contract negotiation and closing, ensuring alignment with company policies and customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor, ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth implementation and delivery of services.
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and industry conditions to effectively position MODE Global's solutions.
- Track sales performance, update CRM tools, and provide regular reports on pipeline, activities, and revenue forecasts.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs, driving overall company growth.
Required Qualifications
- 1-5 years of demonstrated B2B sales experience with proficiency in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Proven track record in prospecting, selling, and closing business while exceeding sales goals.
- Strong understanding of logistics, transportation management systems, and supply chain solutions, with familiarity in freight, 3PL services, or global shipping being a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex logistics solutions persuasively.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and experience in finalizing contracts and pricing.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and standard office tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business or Professional Selling is preferred.
