Lead/ Staff Data Scientist (Bangkok based, relocation provided)

Position Overview

Based in Bangkok, our Data Department drives data innovation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, code, experiment and implement models and algorithms to maximize customer experience, supply side value, business outcomes, and infrastructure readiness.
• Mine vast datasets—including hundreds of millions of customers and over 600M daily events—to discover actionable insights and drive innovation.
• Collaborate with developers and business owners to deliver high-quality, daily results.
• Research, discover, and apply new ideas that can make a measurable difference.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on data science experience.
• Excellent understanding of AI/ML/DL and Statistics with proficiency in open source libraries and frameworks.
• Strong skills in SQL and programming languages such as Python, PySpark and/or Scala.
• Ability to lead, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a multicultural team.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, or related quantitative fields.
• Experience in NLP, image processing, and/or recommendation systems.
• Hands-on experience in data engineering with big data frameworks like Spark or Hadoop.
• Experience in data science for e-commerce and/or online travel agencies.
