Sound Designer

Position Overview

Join Lower Street as a Sound Designer Opportunity where you’ll help bring some of the internet’s best B2B podcasts to life. Work on amazing and varied shows from concept to distribution with a kind, supportive global team. In this role, you will transform rough cuts into fully polished, ready-to-publish episodes by finessing edits, cleaning up dialogue, adjusting pacing, sourcing and integrating music, creating immersive soundscapes, and mixing/mastering every episode to perfection.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit a range of interview, narrative, solo, and fictional podcasts from rough cuts and briefs.
• Transform rough cuts from Descript into polished episodes using Pro Tools.
• Mix, master, source, and integrate music as well as design soundscapes to elevate content quality.
• Coordinate and take ownership of all audio sessions and files required for each episode.
• Utilize industry tools such as Pro Tools, iZotope RX, and Ableton efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience in editing podcasts with a passion for high-quality audio production.
• Proficient in mixing and mastering, with a great ear for sound detail.
• Familiarity with industry-standard software including Pro Tools, iZotope RX, and Ableton.
