Job Description

Position Overview

A client is looking for a Jr. Network Specialist to support a school district in Westchester County, NY. This full-time deskside support role involves working directly with executives, teachers, students, and approximately 300–500 staff members to resolve a diverse range of IT tickets and incidents. Compensation: $23-25/hr based off experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide deskside IT support, addressing various issues from hardware/software troubleshooting to network connectivity.
  • Resolve tickets related to Active Directory support, password resets, and email support.
  • Assist with smartboard support, imaging labs, Chromebook deployment, and system migrations.
  • Diagnose and fix issues with projectors, printers, and other peripheral devices.
  • Communicate effectively with staff to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-2+ years in an IT support role.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software incidents.
  • Basic network understanding including wifi connectivity, TCP/IP, DNS, and LAN/WAN fundamentals.
  • Proven experience with queue management and working within a ticketing system.
  • Strong communication skills, eagerness to learn, and a customer-service oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in customer-facing roles such as a Genius Bar or Geek Squad.
  • Background in the educational or instructional field, or IT support at a college.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow as a ticketing system.
