Mechanical Designer/drafter

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer/Drafter responsible for the solid modeling of various parts including tubing, castings, machine parts, adapters, and components across all product lines. In this Contract position, you will design and re-design existing drawings using Solidworks, focusing on drafting and designing small parts and assemblies. You will support engineering by modifying existing drawings and creating new designs when necessary. Location: Minneapolis, MN.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsibilities: Perform solid modeling of parts, piece parts, tubing, castings, machine parts, adapters, and components.
• Design and re-design existing drawings using Solidworks.
• Draft and design small parts and assemblies.
• Support engineering by modifying existing drawings and creating new designs when necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Experience Required: Proficiency in Solidworks with at least 3 years of experience or 1 year of experience in Creo.
• Education: Minimum Associate's degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design.
• Requirements: At least 1 year of experience in the design of castings, tubing, machine parts, adapters, weldments, and/or fixtures, and a minimum of 1 year of experience working in a mechanical/industrial environment with mechanical parts, castings, weldments, and/or machine parts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the industrial/mobile equipment industry is a plus.
• Strong consistency and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a desire to learn.

• Salary: $24.00 - $34.00/hr.
