Data Analyst - Contract

Position Overview

As an IDEXX contracted Data Analyst for Reference Labs you will provide database and analytical support for multiple initiatives, projects, and programs. Our tech stack includes SQL, Snowflake, DBT, GitHub, and Tableau. This position is a 40‑hour hybrid role (with key hours from 9am‑3pm) that requires occasional onsite attendance in Westbrook (generally a couple of times per month).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deliver standard and ad hoc reports, exception reports, measurements, and analyses to support customer-focused, data-driven analysis.
• Perform routine and ad hoc data analyses using appropriate statistical methods and graphical display standards.
• Retrieve and analyze data and present reports to management in support of operational and business objectives.
• Analyze, summarize, and present information and data for discussion and decision making.
• Provide recommendations for improvement along with written documentation related to data analysis.
• Research data anomalies and issues.
• Collaborate with data source and target systems to identify data issues and gaps.
• Track status and update data source and target systems as needed.
• Identify and recommend solutions to resolve data challenges.
• Construct and apply statistical and/or predictive models to support strategic initiatives.
• Collect data from multiple sources in various formats and translate it into a standard format.
• Perform second and third level drilldowns to add insight and support effective business decision making.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of various customer information systems and databases used by IDEXX functional groups.
• Leverage systems to drive customer-focused, data-driven analysis and continual improvement.
• Continuously improve database reporting and analysis processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
