Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD Degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of systems, mechanical, or aerospace engineering theory
- Sustained excellence in academic performance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying systems, aerospace, or mechanical engineering principles in internships, research, or lab settings
- Familiarity with systems engineering tools such as MagicDraw, Cameo Enterprise Architecture, Rhapsody, Stella, iThink, Anylogic, or Systemitool
- Proven ability to learn new engineering technologies, techniques, and best practices independently
- Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and/or Unified Modeling Language (UML)
- Exposure to Digital Engineering and Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Involvement in Science & Technology (S&T) capability assessments, trade studies, or analysis of alternatives
- Experience with prototype design and CAD
- Demonstrated interest in serving the public
