Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD Degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of systems, mechanical, or aerospace engineering theory
• Sustained excellence in academic performance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying systems, aerospace, or mechanical engineering principles in internships, research, or lab settings
• Familiarity with systems engineering tools such as MagicDraw, Cameo Enterprise Architecture, Rhapsody, Stella, iThink, Anylogic, or Systemitool
• Proven ability to learn new engineering technologies, techniques, and best practices independently
• Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and/or Unified Modeling Language (UML)
• Exposure to Digital Engineering and Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Involvement in Science & Technology (S&T) capability assessments, trade studies, or analysis of alternatives
• Experience with prototype design and CAD
• Demonstrated interest in serving the public
