Position Overview
Entry-Level/Solar Engineer I (Electrical/Civil/Structural). We are hiring an Entry-Level Solar Engineer to support the design of commercial and utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. This role is ideal for recent engineering graduates interested in renewable energy and real-world infrastructure projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers and Professional Engineers (PEs) on projects across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with engineering design for solar PV and BESS projects
- Help prepare drawings, calculations, and technical documentation
- Support civil, electrical, and structural engineering teams
- Review surveys, equipment specs, and project inputs
- Learn permitting, utility requirements, and engineering standards
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related)
- Strong interest in renewable energy and solar power
- Exposure to AutoCAD or similar tools through coursework or internships
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Eagerness to learn and grow as an engineer
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or co-op experience
- Familiarity with solar PV systems
- Autodesk Certified Professional
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or intent to pursue licensure
