Position Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer for our Water Resources department. In this role, you will support the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater projects while contributing to WEBB’s overall business development goals. This position offers a hybrid work schedule. Compensation: $73,000 - $116,800.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater projects, pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, and treatment facilities
  • Production of plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects
  • Assist in the preparation of various engineering reports, including alignment and feasibility studies, preliminary design reports, and Master Plans
  • Conduct hydraulic modeling of water and sewer systems
  • Coordinate engineering tasks during project construction including permitting issues, submittal reviews, survey coordination, and change order review
  • Design mechanical-related projects including pump and lift stations, wells, treatment facilities, and site grading plans
  • Support multiple design teams and Project Managers

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to produce drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs using CAD software
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a minimum of two years' experience in related projects
  • EIT (preferred)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D is a plus
  • Working knowledge of planning and construction documents
  • Excellent technical and communication skills with the ability to work independently on multiple concurrent projects
  • Ability to read, understand, and adapt to local agency standards and communicate directly and effectively with agencies and clients
