Job Description
Position Overview
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer (PWB Fabrication) for the Missiles & Fire Control Manufacturing Engineering – Dallas Electrical Shop PWB team. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality Printed Wiring Boards (PWB) that enable mission-critical missile systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, create, and maintain work instructions, task lists, and re-work/repair guides for non-conformance processing.
- Identify production risks, devise mitigation plans, and lead validation activities for new manufacturing lines.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives from concept through closure while ensuring schedule, quality, and safety targets are met.
- Support testing, hardware, and tooling issues; collaborate with shop-floor personnel, management, and program leads.
- Champion continuous-improvement and lean practices to reduce waste, enhance affordability, and improve overall efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to interpret drawings, CAD models, product/performance specifications, and other technical data.
- Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline, or 3+ years of related manufacturing experience.
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN).
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing, and presentations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability in team building, collaboration, and developing enduring business relationships.
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues from basic to very complex.
- Experience manufacturing PWB/PCBs to IPC and J-STD specifications.
- Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience with MPM Link process changes, SAP production control system, and Windchill.
- Ability to learn new and complex processes and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment and liaising between subcontractors and internal teams.
