Position Overview
As the Public Relations + Events Coordinator, you will play a large role in supporting the PR and Partnerships team in driving brand awareness and loyalty through press, influencer marketing, and consumer marketing. This role reports to the Public Relations + Influencer Marketing Associate.
Key Responsibilities
- Influencer Marketing: Monitor social media trends, track current influencer partnerships, identify new celebrity and influencer opportunities, assist in drafting creative campaign briefs, coordinate with merchandising teams, vet influencer lists, manage product trafficking, monitor coverage, and compile campaign reports.
- Press + Media Relations: Support the overall PR strategy by engaging in media outreach, maintaining relationships with key media contacts, managing inbound press inquiries, drafting press materials (including press releases and creative pitches), maintaining a database of media contacts, researching targeted contacts, monitoring daily media cycles, and coordinating with internal teams to secure product features.
- Event Production: Assist in coordinating event production including product trafficking, creating creative collateral with internal teams, managing vendor relations and invoicing, preparing briefing materials, and organizing staffing.
- Administrative: Manage team calendars to reflect key brand moments, process invoices, organize on-site product and supplies inventory, and track daily and weekly press and influencer marketing coverage for monthly internal reporting.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in PR, Marketing, Journalism, or Communications (preferred).
- 2-3 years of experience in PR, influencer marketing, communications, events, and/or marketing in a professional setting.
- Strong oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills with the ability to draft formal media-facing and executive-ready documents.
- Proven track record of securing consumer brand placements in lifestyle and/or home publications.
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with PR platforms such as Cision and/or Trendkite is required.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and effectively problem-solve.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with event planning and a solid foundation in influencer marketing and media relations (agency or in-house).
- Experience with Photoshop (basic skills), Wordpress, Prezly, and CreatorIQ.
- Ability to leverage analytical skills to uncover insights and report on performance.
