Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly by acknowledging them immediately and handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and engaging in suggestive selling.
• Promote store events and promotions to enhance customer experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns by addressing issues and offering alternative solutions to turn returns into exchanges.
• Communicate merchandise, service, and customer feedback needs to management in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives.
• Operate cash registers frequently and manage financial transactions accurately.
• Move merchandise up to 25 lbs and stock items at heights between 5-10 feet.
• Ascend and descend ladders, retrieve, and put away stock as needed.
• Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in various work areas including the stock room and sales floor.
• Communicate and exchange information accurately with customers, managers, and coworkers both face-to-face and by telephone.
• Move across sales floor and stock room efficiently to assist customers and manage merchandise.
• Work a flexible schedule that meets business needs including day, evening, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts and travel.
• Identify and follow email and printed instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for approximately 80% of the workday.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (cash registers, handheld and mobile devices).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage customers courteously and professionally.
• Basic problem-solving and information-gathering skills.
• Ability to learn and perform procedural tasks acquired through on-the-job training.
