Job Description
Position Overview
This hybrid role at Redfin requires you to work onsite in our Seattle headquarters every Tuesday and Wednesday, with remote work on all other days. As a Financial Analyst II supporting Real Estate Services, you will join a lean Finance team responsible for internal and external reporting, compensation programs, forecasts, financial controls, ad hoc analyses, and business modeling. In this role, you will partner with leaders from Real Estate and Business Operations, tackle diverse challenges, and contribute to redefining real estate by leveraging innovative technology and creative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Real Estate Services reporting, analyzing, and explaining variances during weekly and monthly calls with business leaders.
- Develop and maintain forecasting and budgeting models ensuring alignment between business operations, existing programs, and financial outputs.
- Align FP&A forecasting with SEC reporting by maintaining new accounts and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with Accounting to ensure a smooth and accurate month-end close reporting process.
- Drive the integration between financial systems and increase automation across processes.
- Support ad hoc analyses to deliver actionable insights and recommendations in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or another STEM field.
- Expert-level knowledge of Excel.
- Experience with SQL or other data analysis programming languages.
- Advanced financial skills, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey analytical concepts to both peers and management.
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: Base Pay Range: $96,000 - $144,000. Actual base pay will depend on position, location, individual qualifications, market conditions, and other operational factors. Bonuses and equity may also be part of the compensation package.
