Software Engineer (.NET)

Position Overview

CHAP, an independent non‐profit accrediting body established in 1965, is seeking a talented .NET Web Developer/Software Engineer for a remote position. In this role, you’ll build innovative web applications and craft well-designed software solutions that meet all functional requirements while working within an agile, SCRUM environment. You will also participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, design approvals, and documentation to standardize operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain innovative web applications using Microsoft technologies.
• Collaborate in an agile (SCRUM) environment by participating in code reviews, architectural discussions, and design approvals.
• Write clean, efficient code that meets functional and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct thorough testing and contribute to implementation planning by managing schedules, priorities, and deliverables.
• Document tools and practices to maintain clear and standardized operating procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least two years of proven experience in web development.
• Advanced understanding of the **Microsoft .NET** web development platform, including MVC, Entity Framework, C#, jQuery, JavaScript, .NET Core, and React JS.
• Experience with creating and modifying SQL stored procedures, views, triggers, DML statements, functions, and error-handling routines.
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform, including cloud flows, dataflows, and Canvas applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
